Elsa Tang is a senior executive with 25 years experience in global multi-channeled consumer goods and premium sourcing. She has a proven track record of leading multi cultural teams, strategic business planning, supply chain management, financial/operational/business leadership, and business transformation & operations start-ups.
Elsa has run her consulting business since late-2014 and provided financial, strategic advisory and operational improvement services for her clients. In early 2015, she has also started a new venture about waste management & renewable energy – IMPACT with a few partners.
Prior to this, she took on the COO role at The Marketing Store in Asia (a subsidiary of HAVI Distribution & Logistics Group, Chicago based) for two years, managing the sourcing operations for McDonald’s worldwide toy business. In late 2009, she joined Li & Fung USA as the Senior VP – Operations, based in Asia.
Before 2011, Elsa served as the COO with Pentland in Asia (Headquarter in London), a multi-brand wholesale and distribution group in the sportswear, outdoor footwear & apparel and fashion industry. In this role, she led the group’s Asia based shared services functions (Finance, Logistics, HR & IT) and general operations with an annual sourcing turnover of approx. USD950 million. Elsa integrated various other businesses into the group including a China based product development center. She had established numerous businesses and offices in the Region, and served on various Boards representing the group.
A strategic thinker, Elsa is respected as a team player as well as for her coaching and people/organizational development skills.
Elsa is a qualified accountant, and holds a B.A. in Accountancy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Upon graduation, Elsa joined Deloitte and practiced as a CPA for 4 years. She then moved into the commercial sector and subsequently held positions of increasing management and business responsibilities over the next 20 years. She has engaged with various NGOs for charity work and pursues her passion in mentoring, coaching and Chinese Calligraphy.
